Religious groups look to fill a need in Elizabeth schools

The Elizabeth Board of Education will open its schools this fall to after-school programs run by religious institutions.

The board, steward of a district plagued by poor test scores and disciplinary problems, is turning to faith-based groups in an effort to harness all of the community's resources to students' success.

But the effort to get Elizabeth students busy and enriched may fracture the constitutional wall between church and state, civil libertarians contend.

For years, the scum-bag political Liberals who run Elizabeth and the EBOE, have fought IN COURT, to keep religion out of our government and out of our schools.

But NOW they find that no matter what they do, their teaching programs are crapola, and they really can’t teach THE children.

They just don’t know how to teach a child who has nothing in their head but playng games and other thingies, so now they want to use faith based groups to help them.

I say, NO! way.

I am writing the ACLU, asking then to stop this action, after all, religion no business being in our schools, it might corrupt a child’s mind.

I was a tutor at St. Joe's after school program and it rocked! The kids loved coming there. Merck allowed employees paid time off to participate. Other companies as well. Business has to start INVESTING in our communities. This is a great way. These kids NEED mentors with JOBS they can aspire to. If the education system doesn't get with the need to inspire, these kids will wind up mugging YOU or worse.
