I love M.A.S.H. Its my all-time favorite show. I have seasons 1-7...I need to get season 8.

I have too many favorite characters, episodes, and scenes to pick just one, of each.

But...

One of my favorite episodes, because of its profound subject matter, was the one where they were waiting for one young soldier (who was beyond help) to die, so that they could use a graft from his aorta in another soldier's body, who could be saved. They would not take the graft, as it would kill the already dying young man, even though it might mean that the other soldier might die or be paralyed, if he waits too long. Father Mulcahy asks God that if He's going to take the young man anyway, to please take him soon, so that they can save the life of the other.

Wow. I found myself holding my breath, as I typed that. I was very moved by that episode.

Many many facets to that episode.

I grew up watching MASH ever week, and it was also played every day on two different local affiliates. I also watched a lot of John Wayne movies growing up.

So of course it was pretty obvious that I would join the Army and become a medic. :p

Seriously though, MASH is definitely in the top ten list of fav shows of all time, either in syndication, currently on, or was once on.

which gives me an idea for a thread..

Good ole John Wayne my relative. LOL Laughing As funnny as it sounds I am actually related to him. I am working on finding out how far down the line right now.
